PenAir completed construction on its new hangar and office building at Anchorage International Airport on ground leased from the state. The new facility was essential to accommodate growing demand in air cargo and PenAir's passenger routes. PenAir obtained long-term financing through National Bank of Alaska and AIDEA's Loan Participation Program. The new hangar and office building created or retained 100 construction jobs and 60 new jobs were created statewide as a result of the project.
